Sappi Southern Africa Limited owns the Stanger Mill, which is situated 2 km due South of the town of KwaDukuza (Stanger). The Mill has been in operation since 1976. The mill utilises bagasse—a byproduct of sugar production—as its primary raw material to create office paper and tissue.
